After the Doc's we did a super quick stop by the motherhood store for some nursing supplies. This was Z's first trip to the mall at four days old!

Z is a total love. He is feeding well and sleeping lots. I got to feed him as soon as I came out of recovery and we spent the three hours left of night snuggling together.

We are headed in to surgery in about 10 min. Z4 is coming.

Blood pressure climbing back up. Time to opt for a c section. Never thought I would say it, but it seems to be best now.

Pitocin is not activating active labor yet. Not the best sign. Having to discuss when we throw on the towel and have a c section. Going to try to sleep and talk about it later.

Having official contractions every 4 minutes that last about 30 seconds. It is a start to my body finally going into active labor. Yeah for the strategically placed balloon!

So cervix finally soft enough to insert a balloon to help dilate. Kind of TMI, I know, but some of you will appreciate it. Labs at 6pm again to check liver and platelets. Pitocin is in the near future. I am a tired pup at this point but happy something is finally happening in the forward direction and really sad I haven't gotten to eat for 22 hours at this point.

Ok, not the best news, but nothing terrible suzie so don't freak. Cervix is at a stand still so they are letting the meds in there now work for another four hours. This baby is not on a hurry to come out. However, latest labs came back and are moving slightly in a worse direction (platelets lower and liver enzymes higher) so, no choice but to keep trying induction methods. I am good still and Zade just went out for more food! Will let you know when other news comes our way.

I miss Nui and think they need to rethink their dog policy here. ;) half an hour until doc checks again. Trying to nap while I can and Zade is watching movies on his phone. That is it for Now!

Chillin

The man who dreams of deep fried turkey all year is being denied today. What a trooper.

Just met with my new Doctor. She said because of my "disease" She can't give more pain meds and needs to watch my labs all day. That is funny to hear. She is checking cervix in 2 1/2 hours and will try another method if I am not progressing. Baby is doing fine and I feel good so no need to worry. And Zade is busy snacking on all the food he brought for me. Hope your turkey days are going well.

Breakfast

Got all excited to eat the yummy snacks Zadoc brought for me. Unfortunately I didn't pass the blood pressure test and only get clear liquids. Jello and grape juice it is. :)

Just hanging. :) new doc takes over on 15 minutes so will let you know if anything changes. The stuff they insert to open the cervix stays in for 12 hours before they go to pitocin. Like I said, this could be a long day....

Here we go.

Step one of inducing has started. Said it can be awhile. Even a chance we might not have baby until tomorrow. That is my grandpa corey's birthday. So, while I don't want this to last that long, there is a silver lining if it does. Again, we are in this boat because of hellp syndrome. I have never heard of it before, but man, those upper abdominal pains sure hurt like hell! Zade just made a break for home so no need to have anyone bring stuff down. Feel free to visit Nui though! ;)

Almost 5am and waiting for the doc to wake up. Hmmm....I guess a well rested doc is a good thing? I am ready to get the show on the road!

So much for husbands not spending the night. Zade has been a rock star and I am so thankful for him right now. And thankful for all of you that are reading this and checking in on us! I know Zade will be extra thankful later today if someone brings him turkey. ;)
