Feeling better!

A little miralax and tylenol and little man is feeling better. He is back to his normal state of Destructo boy. Here is is doing his favorite activity- throwing our shoes off the deck.

Z is quite content to snuggle Mom and watch cartoons while the stool softeners work their magic. Constipation is no fun!

Even when he is eating Z can't leave Nui alone. I feel for Nui although his increased night visits to Z's room may indicate that he loves his little brother after all.

Birthday friends

I imagine this is the first of many, many birthdays Z, Kahalakea, and Ka'iwi will be spending together.

Well...not exactly cake. I went back to my roots and made Z a cupcake cone, just like my Mom often made for our school birthdays. I used red velvet just because I had a box of it (I did make the icing myself!) It probably wasn't the best choice because he ended up looking like he was in a fight!

Z woke up so happy today and read books in bed with Mom. He loves to read books even more now and often brings them over to us so we will read to him.

Thanksgiving day nap

Z was having nothing to do with a nap today. I finally gave in and snuggled Z and he finally went to sleep. The thought of enduring turkey day with crabby pants was too much to deal with. Plus I am feeling extra emotional on this day thinking about where we were last year. I remember being so excited knowing our baby would soon make an appearance but was also so freaked by everything my body was going through (none of which was child birth related!)
