Almost a nursery!

We are still waiting for the back-ordered crib skirt, the custom blinds to be finished, and the huge area rug to come on the slow boat, but we are getting closer! With the last of our boxes we finally found the screws to put the crib together which was a huge sigh of relief. We also bought a bed for Z's room today so we are officially furnished.

Sweetest thing ever

I usually put Z to bed but wanted Zade to start helping so Z isn't traumatized when Daddy has to do bedtimes. Obviously Z will not even be closed to traumatized since he had no issues snuggling right in with Daddy.

Reading with Daddy

We finally unpacked ALL of our boxes. Z's books were buried for awhile and he is obsessed with them now that they are out.

Daddy put up one of our rain gutter bookshelves. One more to go! The playroom will eventually get done.

New location

We chopped down two huge trees today. One had Z's swing in it. Low and behold, Z found his swing and dragged it to a new tree. This kid won't be deterred when it comes to his swing!

We needed to get out of the house so we went to a park and there were horses! Z was so excited.

We have two big trees getting cut down today. The fence is supposed to happen tomorrow. We are getting there...

Potty Boy

We had a big day today- went potty on command, twice! The first time I put him in the tub and he went potty and at night we used the adult potty! I wasn't really planning on potty training before the new baby, but it seems like he is ready. I am going to keep attempting casually and how it goes. It might be a whole different story when it comes to #2. As if we needed one more task in the next few weeks....

It is so funny to see what Z gets into while I am busy unpacking. This is one of the ways I discovered him today.

Nui's Home!

After one night sans Nui we had to bring him home. We all missed having him around. It is kind of a pain without our fence but worth the trouble as we aren't a whole family without him.

Living Unhealthily

Fries and a milkshake? We looked up and it was way late so Z got to indulge in a very unhealthy dinner from the fancy burger joint down the street.

Closet shelves

Thank goodness Z takes long naps because this was a two person job. One more set to go and I can start moving our clothes in.

First Night if Sleep

Z sound asleep in sister's room. We got a lot done today, but are still way far away from being settled. There are so many odd things that need to happen first like building shelves in the closets, lining cabinets, arranging and rearranging the furniture. Thank goodness Z hasn't seen his toys in two months and is keeping himself fairly occupied so we can get it all done!

Daddy's digs

Poor Daddy has to sleep on the floor on a twin mattress in Z's room. Our bedroom should be set up by tomorrow night.

Some how, amongst the chaos, Z found a container filled with markers and colored pencils. Just what I wanted!

All of a sudden the monitor was off of Z. I went into the room to check on him and this is how I found him, sound asleep!

New House Nap

We are still far away from being moved in but we are starting to lay our heads here tonight. I put Z down for his first nap at the new house and he is doing great (even in Hayden's unmade bed!)

New door and paint

There was previously a sliding glass door on this wall. It is getting replaced with a regular door. The old walls were green and now they are blue! This will be the kiddos play room.

We have a great park about a mile from our new house. I have a feeling we will be here often!

Z's moved in!

Z saw his swing in the load we moved today and had a fit until it was up and in ready for action. This is only temporary because we have a playset on order with swings and a slide for the back yard!

Face spots

Luckily his face doesn't look as bad as his legs. He isn't too willing to let me look into his mouth, but yesterday I could see a bunch of sore spots on the roof of his mouth.

Nasty!

This is the worst of Z's rash. Luckily I think he is on the mend. He actually slept last night and seems full of energy this morning. I had heard it can take ten days to get better so I think we are on the lucky end.

Diseased...

And the picture for today is of our little hand, foot, and mouth disease boy. Life isn't so happy in Z-bug's world right now. Oh well, on the bright side, he might be better for moving day on Saturday.

No baby action!

At my doctors appt they wanted to monitor the baby's heartbeat and see if I was having any contractions, just because. Well, the heartbeat is great and there was not even a slight blip in the contraction department. Let's hope this is the scenario for the last five weeks as we do not want an early baby this time!
