We didn't hike to get close to the lava, but Z's desires to see "red, hot lava" seemed to be fulfilled.

Yet another trip highlight- Z was able to try out Uncle Kimo's scuba equipment in the clear pool. The tank was too heavy to send him alone, but with Zadoc holding the tank, he did great!!
