Water Blessing
It was an abnormally gorgeous and calm day on the water. Hundreds of people gathered, prayed, chanted, and celebrated Emalia. Jb rode in a canoe with Kahala, coach Colflesh, and Rochelle. Zadoc, Hayden, the boys, Brooke, Hilary and I all rode in the Seabury Canoe. Zadoc Jr. rode on a two man with Pete Siracusa.
The most chicken skin moment is when dolphin swam close the beach while everyone was gathered for a prayer before entering the water. Everyone that paddles at the harbor says they have never seen a dolphin that far inside. We all knew at that moment that Emalia is absolutely here with us.

Valentine's Day
Valentine's Day didn't exist for Zadoc and I, but the kids seemed to enjoy their presents and treats.
Every once in awhile Declan will wake up and then I can snuggle him back to sleep in the morning. He slept in until 7:15 snuggling with me. That was definitely my treat as Z also slept until 7:30.
We decided to open Grammy's present right away.
Declan tried to bite the paper off.
Z was thrilled with his minion surprises.
Obviously happy boy was excited!
Z tried to monopolize Declan's bubble gun. It is super cool.
Cupid brought each kid one gift.

Auntie Em
Z's teacher sent him home with a book about death. After we read it I asked if he understood where Auntie Em was. He said in the sky and then told me she needed a parachute to land at our house. If only it was that easy.
We went out to Haliimaile General Store for Hayd's birthday. Hayd requested that we all wear blue. I am guessing this was her 7th birthday.
This has long been a favorite picture of Jb, Em, and I. It was long before Zade and I were together. I think we were on our way to dinner at Jb's parents. Em was driving and I think there was a rainbow behind us that we were trying I capture.
Em was not a morning person. However, she was happy to be up way before dawn to cheer Zadoc on for run to the sun. This was taken in March '08, shortly after we started dating.
