6 Months

We made it!  Declan is such an amazing little guy.  I know we are totally bias, but he is such a good natured kid.  He is still smiling at everyone and just seems to get such a kick out of life.

The Good: So much has changed in the last month.  He can pull himself up to a stand in his crib, on the coffee table, and the couches.  Oh, and obviously he can get himself up to a sitting position too.  Supposedly he has crawled a few times, but I keep missing it.  Actually, as I am typing this I have my camera right next to me as Zadoc just saw him crawl a bit. Even though he is technically still army crawling, he is all over the place.  He is very inquisitive and likes to check out anything at his level.  We need to do a bit of babyproofing again.  He is a busy boy.  He is a also still growing and growing.  He is solidly in 12 month clothes now. We started giving him solids foods, but he is still hesitant about them.  So far he has tried sweet potatoes, squash, apple sauce, pears, and banana.  He still adores his big brother and usually makes his way to Z, if possible.

The Bad: Sleep was going to be moved into the good category until we went on vacation.  He slept like a champ in the pack and play on Oahu, but had a rough time in Tahoe.  We are going to have to sleep train again, but we have to wait until he recovers from this mainland cold.
